To register with Tap Teachers, you need to be a qualified teacher and must be able to work in the regions in which we operate.
Teachers are usually registered in Tap Teachers office by one of our consultants. If you are unable to travel to our office, but are interested in working in the areas in which Tap operates, one our our consultants can arrange a time and date to register you at a venue that is more convenient.
The registration process consists of the following elements:
- A discussion about what type of work you are looking for
- An explanation of how Tap Teachers' services can help you
- Completion of paperwork
- Checking of documentation
- Discussion on the next step for your teaching career
The documents you will need to bring with you include:
- Proof of identity (Passport) and 2 proofs of address (utility bill / bank statements)
- Teaching qualification certificates
- Bank details and NI number
- Current CRB clearance (if you have one)
- Next of kin name and telephone number
If you are UK qualified you will also need to be registered with the GTC so please bring your letter or membership card. We also require two professional references.
If you are an overseas qualified teacher, you will need to bring your passport, visa, qualifications, UK NARIC and overseas police check. We will still need to carry out the references for you, so we need two contact names and addresses.
We will then carry out additional vetting proceedures which include a List 99 check and carrying out a CRB check. If you do not have a current CRB we will apply for a new one free of charge!
If you are unable to bring your documents for whatever reason, please contact a consultant by calling 01604 646 333.
