Supply teaching options
After the long hard slog of exams, training and teaching placements, we expect you are itching to get into the classroom for your first proper teaching job. This can be a daunting prospect but Tap Teachers is here to help you every step of the way. With a few options to consider; Ease your way in with supply teaching work, find a more permanent or long term post to complete one, two or all three of your Induction Year terms. Tap Teachers hopes to provide newly qualified teachers with the support and options to do either.
If you feel like your confidence needs building up Tap Teachers can offer supply work in a variety of schools; from small village primary schools to large secondary schools. This work varies from daily supply teaching to long term contracts, dependent on your preference.
In the event that you find a school you really like and there is a vacancy available to you, then Tap Teachers can help. Working together with the school, Tap Teachers can help arrange for the placement to become part of your induction period. Many newly qualified teachers find this a great way to start teaching once they have gained their QTS, without jumping straight into a year’s commitment.
Permanent teaching roles
For newly qualified teachers who wish to complete all 3 terms at one school, Tap Teachers is here to help you find a permanent position. This option allows you to build strong relationships with pupils and staff and to gain stability. You can also become fully involved with school life and get a real feel for being part of the teaching team.
